Course objectives
A student knows other basic mathematical notions, assertions, problems and solutions of problems that find their application in practice, especially economic, and can use them for solutions of practical problems.
Syllabus
  • Stock and store theory:
    - basic notions, deterministic models
    - stochastic models
    - P and Q models, P models with insurance stock
    Queuing theory:
    - model examples, input and its characteristics, service systems and their statistical analysis
    - queuing mode, service mode, Kendall's classification of queuing systems, birth and death process
    - operation intensity, the mean number of costumers in a service system, queue length and waiting time in M/M/1 system and M/M/s system

To get the course-credit,
1. Obtain a total of at least 65 % points from the prescribed/scored forms of knowledge testing.
2. Development of a project within the specified range and term and its successful defense.
To pass the exam, to prove at least basic knowledge of the taken subject on the written and the oral parts of the examination.
