Credit requirements

• Class attendance and participation
• Timely reading of the assigned texts (i.e. BEFORE each class)
• Class work (questionnaires, online forums, other assignments)
• In-class credit essay

Essay type and topic:

• Reader response to an assigned text 
  
• Topics will be specified the day you will write the essay (the last teaching week of the semester)

Essay document format:

• Pdf version
  

Essay length:

• 2 - 3 norm pages (1 norm page = 1800 characters with spaces)
  

Other requirements:

• Good argumentation (remember, an "opinion" doesn't mean anything until it is backed up by a logical string of arguments and possibly supporting quotations from the text) 
  
• In-text citations using Chicago reference format
