WEEK 9: Miscellaneous Correspondence - deadline 1.12. - GRADED

In the book, see the unit on Miscellaneous Correspondence, which covers various types of personal correspondence, including bookings, reservations, confirmations, cancellations, and invitations.
As a task for this week, choose and write any type of letters/emails mentioned above. If you decide to write an invitation, please, include the letter confirming or declining the invitation. Bear in mind that:
  • The conventions of social correspondence are much the same as those of business correspondence. You should consider the relationship between the writer and receiver and choose not only the most appropriate language but also the most suitable medium, e.g., letter, card, or email.
  • Letters of invitation should clearly state where and when the event will take place and give some indication of its formality so that guests can dress appropriately.
  • When canceling an appointment, please explain why you are unable to keep it and offer an alternative day/time if possible.
  • Letters of condolence or congratulations should never be written on someone else´s behalf.
  • Personal correspondence on special occasions should be short, simple, and sincere.

Upload your task in "odevzdávárna" below.
