Outline for Writing a Case Study:
1. Introduction
Briefly introduce the case study topic.
State the chosen social pathology issue (e.g., homelessness, alcoholism, bullying, youth crime, etc.)
Provide an overview of the person chosen for the case study (without identifying personal details).
2. Personal History (Osobní anamnéza)
Describe the individual’s background: age, education, occupation, and relevant personal circumstances.
Highlight any significant life events or experiences that may have influenced the development of the social pathology.
Include relevant details such as health, relationships, and past experiences that are significant to the case.
3. Family History (Rodinná anamnéza)
Explore the family background of the individual: family structure, relationships, history of any similar issues in the family (e.g., history of addiction, violence, or other social pathologies).
Identify any possible generational factors that could be linked to the development of the issue.
4. Case History (Kazuistika)
Provide a detailed account of the individual's involvement with the chosen social pathology.
Explain how the social pathology manifests in their life (e.g., patterns of behavior, specific incidents, coping strategies).
Discuss any external factors that may have contributed to the issue (e.g., social, economic, or environmental influences).
If applicable, mention interventions or attempts at help that the individual has undergone.
5. Theory and Literature Review
Provide a theoretical framework based on academic sources (minimum of 2 foreign sources, cited in Harvard style).
Discuss relevant theories or research on the chosen social pathology, connecting them to the case at hand.
Analyze how the theories relate to the individual’s case and the development of the issue.
6. Intervention Proposal (Návrh intervence)
Suggest possible interventions or solutions based on the theories and case analysis.
Propose strategies for intervention at individual, familial, and/or societal levels.
Discuss the feasibility, effectiveness, and potential outcomes of these interventions.
7. Conclusion
Summarize the key findings and insights from the case study.
Reflect on the importance of understanding social pathologies and the role of interventions in addressing them.
Mention any limitations in the study and areas for further research or action.
8. References
List all the academic sources used in the case study, following the Harvard citation style.
Additional Notes:
The case study should be written in approximately 2 pages (1800 characters per page, including spaces).
Students must cite sources using the Harvard citation style.
The work will be uploaded to the submission platform during the final week of the semester.
