Outline for Writing a Case Study:
1. Introduction
Briefly introduce the topic of the case study.
State the chosen relevant issue related to educational care for seniors (e.g., dementia, social isolation, age-related disabilities, etc.).
Provide an overview of the senior person chosen for the case study (without identifying personal details).
2. Personal History (Osobní anamnéza)
Describe the individual’s background: age, education, occupation, and relevant personal circumstances.
Highlight any significant life events or experiences that have shaped the individual’s current situation.
Include relevant details such as health, relationships, and any particular needs they may have due to aging.
3. Family History (Rodinná anamnéza)
Explore the family background of the individual: family structure, relationships, history of any medical conditions or social issues.
Identify any factors in the family history that may influence the person’s current state (e.g., hereditary conditions, caregiving dynamics).
4. Case History (Kazuistika)
Provide a detailed account of the senior’s condition or issue (e.g., cognitive decline, mobility issues, emotional well-being).
Explain how the issue manifests in their daily life, interactions, and routines.
Discuss any challenges they face in their environment (e.g., living situation, social interactions, access to healthcare).
If applicable, mention previous educational care or interventions the individual has received.
5. Theory and Literature Review
Provide a theoretical framework based on academic sources (minimum of 2 foreign sources, cited in Harvard style).
Discuss relevant theories or research related to senior care, educational strategies, or interventions for aging individuals.
Analyze how the theories connect to the case and the person’s specific needs or challenges.
6. Intervention Proposal (Návrh intervence)
Suggest possible interventions or educational strategies for improving the individual’s situation.
Propose tailored approaches to care, education, and support (e.g., cognitive training, physical rehabilitation, social activities).
Discuss the feasibility, effectiveness, and potential outcomes of the proposed interventions.
7. Conclusion
Summarize the key findings and insights from the case study.
Reflect on the importance of education and care for seniors and the role of interventions in improving quality of life.
Mention any limitations in the study and potential areas for further research or development in the field of senior care.
8. References
List all the academic sources used in the case study, following the Harvard citation style.
Additional Notes:
The case study should be written in approximately 2 pages (1800 characters per page, including spaces).
Students must cite sources using the Harvard citation style.
The work will be uploaded to the submission platform during the final week of the semester.
