Initial information

Greetings, Dear Students,

in the first week of class you will get some basic information about this course. Specifically, you will be informed about the teaching method, requirements, guidelines and deadlines that are important for the successful completion of the course. To simplify your work, I have prepared a template for your seminar paper. This template is available in this section of the Teaching Week interactive syllabus.

Requirements for successful completion of the course
  • Attendance at seminars at least 50% participation
  • Semester project focusing on the background of business operations from the perspective of Czech Republic - seminar paper and defence (by presentation and discussion): 30 points
  • 10 points for activities at seminars
  • Final exam: 60 points
  • Evaluation based on points earned:
    • 100 - 93 points - A
    • 92 - 85 points - B
    • 84 - 77 points - C
    • 76 - 69 points - D
    • 68 - 60 points - E
    • 59 - 0 points - F

At the first seminar, you roll the dice to choose the country for which you will be working on a business transaction proposal.

Introduction to international trade operations

In the first block, we define business operations and their differences between internal, foreign and international trade. Business operations are explained in detail, focusing on the type specification and the course of business operations in the international environment.
