The Ethics of AI is a free online course created by the University of Helsinki. The course is for anyone who is interested in the ethical aspects of AI. The aim is to encourage people to learn what AI ethics means, what can and can’t be done to develop AI in an ethically sustainable way, and how to start thinking about AI from an ethical point of view. Artificial intelligence is already a part of our daily lives. When we post pictures to social media, search online or ask questions from chatbots, we’re interacting with AI. Authorities, such as cities, rely on AI for providing public services. And governments are seeking solutions to global problems by using algorithmically produced knowledge. Upon completing the course, students will gain a deep understanding of the ethical challenges and considerations surrounding artificial intelligence. They will learn to identify and analyse the ethical and social impacts of AI, and apply critical thinking to evaluate AI applications in various domains. The course covers key ethical concepts such as non-maleficence, accountability, transparency, human rights, and fairness. Students will also explore practical case studies to understand real-world implications and develop skills to apply ethical principles in AI development and deployment. Online testsKurz je k dispozici v angličtině: https://ethics-of-ai.mooc.fi/ a v dalších jazycích uvedených na webu kurzu. Registrujte se do něj vaším oficiálním univerzitním mailem s doménou @slu.cz.
Kurz je plně online, obsahuje materiály, odkazy, diskusní skupiny, technickou podporu a sadu úloh. Jednotlivé úlohy po jejich vyplnění nelze opakovat. Podmínky pro úspěšné absolvování viz FAQ.
Certifikát o absolvování se automaticky vygeneruje v profilu uživatele/lky.
Zápočet bude udělen po vložení certifikátu do příslušné odevzdávárny. K dispozici je jedna odevzdávárna pro studenty OPF, a jedna pro ostatní studenty univerzity. Aby byl zápočet udělen do konce akademického roku, je nutno certifikát vložit nejpozději do 31.7.
