- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the issues of archaeological research of prehistoric and historical landscapes in relation to to the natural environment, i.e. understood as a variable complex of mutually influencing natural factors and anthropogenic activities. In the introduction, the listeners will be introduced to the terminology and a brief overview of the research as well as traditional and newer methods of its research. The course will then focus on the knowledge and characteristics of climate development conditions and settlements in prehistoric times, as well as its structure and sub-entities (agrarian settlements, central settlements, exploitation and production campuses, funeral and socio-cult campuses, but also communication and borders) incl. the possibility of their identification and prediction.
