- Course objectives
- The course provides basic theoretical training for the application of cultural heritage presentation and education in regional practice, specifically in cultural tourism. The course focuses on the content and technical preparation of a short-term (5-day) training forfait trip. Firstly, it creates a trip for clients with specific needs resulting from their age and social status (seniors, families with children, low-income families) with a focus on cultural heritage of the Czech lands, cross-border areas and regions with cultural and historical links to the Czech past. Secondly, it focuses on clients with specific requirements in a particular area of cultural tourism (clients with superior thematic requirements). The students work in a team and coordinate their activities according to the assignment of the project management, apply their theoretical abilities and skills from the previous courses. The students are able to use the networking opportunities of cultural organisations and institutions caring for and presenting cultural heritage and tourism facilities at regional, national and international level.
- Learning outcomes
- The student is able, both from a theoretical and practical point of view, to prepare a leisure-time product (tour, excursion, guided tour, etc.) focusing on domestic and foreign cultural heritage in the context of historical and cultural development for its implementation. Consequently, he/she can lead the product during its realization.
