- Course objectives
- The course is intended for first-year students. Students will encounter poems, prose texts and, regionally, dramatic texts as if in a new way, ie. from the very beginning; the subject does not require any predispositions. They will go through a simple silent and loud reading, searching through the basic themes of the text, they will gradually learn how the texts are modified by rhythm, rhyme, poetic means; the type of narration and the layout of the plot, etc. Above all, we will be interested in how these phenomena contribute to the emphasis on certain meanings and how specific topics and words attract attention. The questions of how the author's intention, the focus of the text and what the reader inserts into the text contribute to the overall meaning will also be addressed.
- Learning outcomes
- Students will be able to analyze the basic properties of a literary text; discuss what determines the literacy of a text; interpret a specific literary work in the main outlines.
