Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
This course explores the relationships between environmental science, literature, and cultural reflections on space, with a focus on the Moravian-Silesian Region.  The main objective is to familiarize students with the broader intellectual contexts of ecologically oriented theoretical terms, concepts, and approaches, as well as their practical application in the interpretation of literature, art, and diverse cultural forms. Students will also gain an understanding of the interconnectedness of culture, the environment, and society.

1. Introduction – the environment in culture, 2. Ecocriticism and literary interpretation, 3. The Anthropocene in culture and art, 4. Children’s literature with eco-themes and its educational applications, 5. Ecology, the city, and architecture, 6. Space and sustainability, 7. Landscape, memory, and environmental aesthetics, 8. Art and Environmental Activism, 9. Posthumanism – The Relationship Between Humans and Nature, 10. Local and Global Environmental Narratives, 11. Teaching Environmental Topics, 12. Presentation of Student Projects
