Course objectives
The course deals with literature for young adults and its main themes appearing in the latest decades. It emphasises critical reading for each of the given topics, which serves as a basis for the final priject/presentation. The students are required to attend consultations regularly. The course emphasises communication and presentation skills as well as the art of feedback.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the students will be able:
- to recognise the basic features of young adult literature


- to analyse chosen texts using literary criticism


- to evaluate the texts in the  scope of a particular theme


- to present the required knowledge in written and spoken form supported by valid arguments


- to revise primary and secondary sources.

Attendance min. 75% attendance, active participation in class discussions, presentation/project, and oral exam.
