- Course objectives
- The lecture introduces in the German literature of the second half of the 20th century. The focus lies both on the Federal Republic of Germany and German Democratic Republic literature after they year 1945, trying to follow the literary development up to today in certain episodes and reviewing important writers and their works in the given social and political context. The seminar tries to deepen the basics of the lecture and to introduce in further important writers and their works, which the students have to read and to prepare at home to discuss in the seminars.

- Orientation in the contemporary English literature of various genres. The skill of critical analysis of literary texts.
