Předmět navazuje na předmět Databázové systémy I. Věnuje se síťovým datovým modelům, těžiště je ale ve studiu konceptuálních datových modelů. Věnuje se také rozšíření a uplatnění databázové technologie v distribuovaných databázových systémech a datových skladech. Předpokladem pro zapsání tohoto předmětu je úspěšné absolvování předmětu Databázové systémy I.
