Předmět navazuje na předmět Databázové systémy I a věnuje se síťovým datovým modelům. Těžiště je ale ve studiu konceptuálních datových modelů. Věnuje se také rozšíření a uplatnění databázové technologie v distribuovaných databázových systémech a datových skladech.
