- Course objectives
- The students will get acquainted with the organisational system of health care as a public service including the public control of its quality and mechanism of its provision. The course enables to understand the importance of the connection of health and social services for the quality of the overall care for the needs of individuals, families and communities. The course informs of the basic legislation in the area of health service. It enables to understand the nature of systemic management of health service and using the standard tools of management on the national as well as international level.

- 1. Transformation of health care systems - Ljubljana charter of the health care reformation from the year 1996
2. Integrated branch of health service and legislation in health service
3. Integration of basic health care and hospital services
4. Management with the aim of achieving the highest quality results
5. Financing health services and care, allocation of finance funds
6. Infrastructure of public health care
7. Professional preparation of medical staff
8. Regulated medical professions according to directives of European commission
9. State of health of population - basic demographic data
10. The network of health of medical facilities: outpatient care, hospital care, subsequent care (spas, after-treatment facilities)
11. Care for a community, home care, hospice care
12. Community care for family, children, woman, seniors, mentally ill
