Course objectives
The aim of the course is the students` improving their practical knowledge of the language and the development of their language skills. Emphasis is on communication skills based on consistent practice of grammatical structures and systematic enlarging of vocabulary.

  • LS: Headway Elementary, units 9 - 15
    1. week Unit 9 - Food and drink
    témata: food and drink, shops and things to buy, in a hotel, likes and dislikes, going shopping, meals in
    Britain
    2. week Unit 10 - Describing places
    topics: town and country words, directions, jigsaw reading
    3. week test (Unit 9 and Unit 10)
    4. week Unit 11 - Describing people
    topics: clothes and colours, words that rhyme, in a clothes shop, making a decision, a song 'Wonderful
    tonight'
    5. - 6. week Unit 12 - Planning the future
    topics: the weather, infinitive of purpose, making suggestions, dangerous sports
    7. week test (Unit 11 and 12)
    8. week Unit 13 - Did you know that?
    topics: talking about a book, catching a train, Laurel and Hardy, a short story reading text
    9. - 10. week Unit 14 - In my life
    topics: telephoning, present perfect with ever and never, yet and just, reading text 'Three amazing grandmas'
    11. week test (Unit 13 and 14)
    12. week Unit 15 - Thank you and goodbye
