Course objectives

Lectures deal with the topics from general and historical linguistics. Students will get familiar with German terminology.

Syllabus

Introduction to linguistics, language classification, language functions, grammar terminology, historical linguistics and its roots, basic language changes, reconstruction of a proto-language.
