Course objectives
The aim of the seminar is to acquaint students with the basic issues of conservation and restoration of arts and crafts works stored in museum collections. Students will be familiar with the history field, theoretical background, ethical recommendations and legislation. In the next part of the course will be specifically discussed the scope of protection paintings and sculptures and arts and crafts works. Attention will be paid to the specifics of such interventions on the furniture, musical instruments, weapons, etc. During the run of the course, students will learn the specifics of restoration documentation and the specific requirements for preventive conservation of these types of objects. Students will be acquainted with the practical application of materials and techniques, either in the Centre of restoration and conservation UHV, or in museums.

    4. 4. The specifics of the protection of sculptures from various materials
    5. 5. Specifics protection of arts and crafts works - furniture, musical instruments, weapons
