Course objectives
The seminar follows the subject I. Interpretation Seminar and focuses on the practical orientation of students in different challenging model of historical situations, preferably in the field. As in the first of the seminars is also now based on the premise that adequate worth a historical interpretation of any subject or object is only possible on the basis of identification particular conditions to which it is not only necessary theoretical background (archival and literature research) , but also equally capacity building of historical and developmental analysis to be adequately interpreted. Only in unison or at least correct logical interpretation of information that keeps every single object or a subject in itself, with a reasonable interpretation of all direct and indirect findings of other kinds of activities historical, archival , art history , nature, technology , etc. , can reach a comprehensive evaluation object or subject. This assessment is a prerequisite correct and appropriate form of intervention heritage. Therefore, the seminar uses monumental wealth of Opava and its surroundings so that the audience after the introduction to the classroom in a professional, appropriate management discussion practiced ability to interpret in the field.
Syllabus
  • 1. Interpretation of file townhouses.
    2. Interpretation example, public buildings (such as the museum building, school, etc.)..
    3. Interpretation demanding profane building in its urban, architectural and social context.
    4. Interpretation of a larger, usually as the castle grounds with large parts, the remains of decoration, building numerous changes not only the object itself, but also related area, mostly with more or fewer collections, etc.
    5. Interpretation of the heritage and architecturally valuable economic grounds.
    6. Interpretation of the rural peasant farm including residential and economic functions in the context of a stylish development, construction development, layout changes, decorations, etc.. and comparison with functionally and architecturally simpler rural area (such as cottages or houses).

* Attending the seminar, sufficient and adequate data interpretation activity in the field, faced with the knowledge of basic literature. In addition, prepare a written analysis and interpretation of a particular object selected.
