- Lecture introduces the essential concepts of heavy-ion reactions as well as theoretical methods of their description.
- Syllabus
- Basic features of heavy-ion reactions
Heavy-ion reactions at energies in the vicinity of the Coulomb barrier: Trajectory, potential, basic concepts. Nuclear fusion and the emission from the composite system. Deep-inelastic collisions
Direct reactions.
Heavy-ion reactions in the vicinity of the Fermi energy; statistical concepts of their description
Relativistic collisions of heavy ions: Specific features of relativistic collisions of heavy ions. Nuclear matter and non-nucleonic degrees of freedom macroscopic description. Basis of relativistic formulations of multiparticle problem. Non-nucleonic degrees of freedom mean field methods
