- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to provide students with the information about the basic principles of historical linguistics, comparative linguistics and reconstruction. The seminar brings additional information the course Historical linguistics 1, especially the reconstruction of Proto-SLavic as a common source of Slavic languages.
- Learning outcomes
- Students are able to: - describe the main sorts of language changes - understand the principles of comparative method and the method of internal reconstruction - understand the principles of reconstruction of Proto-Indo-European and Proto-Slavic - explain the main points of Slavic accentology - use the basic reference materials
