Course objectives
The lectures offer basic information on theory and practice of modern textual criticism, inform e.g. about: what transcriptional changes to introduce into the text (and according to which principles), why and how to write a commentary, how to present variants (variae lectiones).
Learning outcomes
The students shall be able:
to know what is purpose of writing the commentary,
to write (establish) an apparatus and a commentary,
to include variant readings in the apparatus.

Lectures (with using of PowerPoint), class discussion, group and individual project.

Active participation in the seminar. The final test (it consists of 11 questions, 7 correct answers is needed to pass).
