- Course objectives
- Students are guided to prepare the text of the thesis. They are acquainted with the standards of the professional text, with the methodological manual prepared for the creation of DP and its individual parts. At the same time, they consult on the preparation of the DP's own text.
- Learning outcomes
- The student will gain knowledge of writing a academic text.
- Syllabus
- 1. Introduction to the methodology of linguistically oriented work. 2. Introduction to the methodology of literary-oriented work. 3. Choice of topic I. (definition of topic: accuracy x generality). 4. Choice of topic II. (issues of processing topics "historical" x "contemporary"). 5. Choice of topic III. (monographic x comparative topic). 6. Selection of sources and literature I. (availability and orientation in the bibliography). 7. Selection of sources and literature II. (heuristics in archives / use of electronic databases). 8. Choice of suitable methodology for linguistically oriented work. 9. Selection of a suitable methodology for literary-oriented work. 10. Determining the work plan (title, content and introduction). 11. Detailed syllabus and thesis of the diploma thesis (formulation of the aim of the thesis and layout into chapters). 12. Graphic design of DP I. (graphic division, typography, headings and partial division). 13. Graphic design of DP II. (punctuation marks).
