Course objectives
The aim is to connect the theoretical knowledge acquired in the basic course in physics with their applications in film and photography.
Syllabus
  • 1. Why is the sky blue? (Light, photometry and the principle of image recording)
    2. What is the resolution of the human eye? (physical properties of optical glass and surfaces, visual perception, lenses, mirrors, the law of reflection and refraction)
    3. - 4. How do make people to look like toy igracek in the photo? (fixed focus, zoom lenses, macro, telephoto, lenses for technical and experimental photography, filters, converter, converters)
    5. How to make your own macro lens? (Optical track photographic and film lenses, optical systems, the materials used and their effect on image quality)
    6. - 7. How to recognize a good lens? (Optical defects, sharpness, depth of field testing lenses)
    8. -9. Optical experiments with glass (bokeh, filters, depth of field, Anamorphic converter, creative lenses, camera obscura, etc.)
    10. How different cinematographic a photographic lens? (Photo Vs. cinema lenses, the building features film lenses, the effect on image quality)
    11. Optical experiments in computer. (panoramic photo, HDR, tilt-shift, virtual tours, etc.)
    12. Photo and film optics lenses are not only (Viewfinders, focus, exposure, projection, projectors and projectors).
