- Course objectives
- The seminar is focused on the development of Czech society from 1938 to 1989. Emphasis is placed on defining the specifics of various non-democratic political systems with which society was gaining experience during this period and was looking for possibilities for survival, coexistence and resistance. In addition to the theoretical definition of individual political systems, attention will be paid to the function of the state and its institutions, the role of elites, and the forms of discipline of individual social groups and strata.
