Course objectives
The student will be able to orientate in the issues of management and marketing of public libraries. Understand the importance of community librarianship for community development. He knows the history of community librarianship in our country and in the world. Knowledge is derived and practiced by practical teaching, students will work in teams on a specific community project. Practical webinars, instructional videos and other elements of distance learning are included in the teaching. The aim of the course is to equip students with basic knowledge of the issues of management and management of public libraries so that they are able to describe and assess the basic activities of the library manager. They will learn to discover the needs and resources of the community so that they can turn libraries into an information node of the local community. A partial part is to teach students project work and work in teams.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to create organizational rules, organizational structure of the library. He will be able to create various concepts and strategies for library community activities. Describe the history of community librarianship, determine trends in the development of community librarianship. They will learn how to analyze the external and internal environment of the library, student will be able to create a SWOT analysis, write a community project and master the techniques of teamwork. He will theoretically master the techniques associated with leading people and managing public libraries.
