Course objectives
Within this course, which consists of 32 hours of fieldwork-based practical training, students work collaboratively in teams. The course takes the form of an intensive four-day on-site workshop (residential studio programme), during which students, under the direct supervision of experienced instructors, complete an assigned audiovisual project: a filmic/visual adaptation of a poem. The individual stages of the creative process, including text interpretation, scriptwriting, storyboard development, editing, and any subsequent post-production work, are regularly discussed and consulted with the instructor. At the conclusion of the workshop, the completed films are screened and collectively analysed. The workshop is scheduled after students have completed the key documentary filmmaking courses included in the curriculum of the second-year winter semester.

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to apply more effectively and in a practical context the knowledge and skills gained through the core documentary filmmaking disciplines included in the second-year winter semester curriculum.
