- Course objectives
- Practical training course takes place in the workplace of Department of Preservation of Collection objects of Silesian Museum. The aim of the practice is comprehensive project preventive conservation. The practice is linked to the course UHV/M0096 Preventive conservation, where students acquire theoretical and practical skills for partial treatment preventive conservation. During practice, students work on specific issues of collections institutions under the supervision of experienced professionals. The main task practice is as much as possible to develop practical skills and gain valuable experience in the treatment of a particular object of cultural value. To student will be assigned object to treatment. Student will gradually do humanities and natural science research, using all available methods in the workplace of Silesian University in Opava, Silesian Museum and the VŠB - Technical University of Ostrava. Student will after a successful build of the intervention design carries out a complex action (cleaning, preservation, restoration and storage). Successful completion practices are not only made ??intervention, but also the quality of documentation intervention, use of resources in the exploration and presentation of the final action during the examination period. Students are required to practice the principles of safety and health at work and all internal guidelines and regulations institutions in which the practice will take place.
