Course objectives
Students will improve all their language competences utilizing representative texts in the following books: Auf neuen Wegen. Deutsch als Fremdsprache für die Mittelstufe und Oberstufe. Max Hueber Verlag. Ismaning 2003. The focus is on vocabulary, grammar and spontaneus oral production and hence there are four lessons of communication once a fortnight. There are also various texts (dealing with grammar and vocabulary etc.) prepared for self-study purposes. In the classes students do exercises in the textbook Auf neuen Wegen and exercises to written texts they obtain from the teacher. Homework is mostly in written form, discussed with the teacher. The grammar students are already familiar with is revised and new grammar is taught.
