Course objectives
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the development of Czech language since the earliest literary period till the period of Rennaissance. Students will be introduced to the various script systems and will analyze texts from different centuries. The second part of the course will provide the information on the development of our national language in the 17th, but mainly from 19 century to the present. The course consists of lectures and seminars, focuses on the development of the Czech language and its contacts with other European languages
