Course objectives
The aim of the course is the students` improving their practical knowledge of the language and the development of their language skills. Emphasis is on communication skills based on consistent practice of grammatical structures and systematic enlarging of vocabulary.
Syllabus
  • Headway Elementary, units 1 - 8
    1. week Unit 1 - Hello!
    topics: names of countries, everyday objects, the alphabet, saying hello and goodbye
    2. week Unit 2 - People
    topics: family relationships, in a café, food and drink, writing an informal letter
    3. week test (Unit 1 and Unit 2)
    4. week Unit 3 - Work
    topics: jobs, What time is it?, the long-distance job
    5. week Unit 4 - Free Time
    topics: free time activities, social English, favourite season
    6. week test (Unit 3 and 4)
    7. week Unit 5 - Places
    topics: things in the house, places, people, food, and drink, directions
    8. week Unit 6 - What can you do?
    topics: skills and abilities, words that sound the same, at the airport
    9. week test (Unit 5 and 6)
