- Course objectives
- The practical seminar will focus on consolidating and further developing the knowledge and skills acquired by completing the course Presentation Skills 1, this time with a specific focus on creating presentations in English. Attention will be paid to individual parts of the presentation structure (introduction, information core, conclusion), with a special focus on useful techniques and language resources (expressions, phrases, links and phrases).
- Learning outcomes
- After completing the course, the student will be able to create logically structured and informationally valuable presentations in English. Through interpretation and project work (creation of own presentations on assigned topics) they will learn to use techniques and language tools used, among other things, to gain and maintain the audience's attention or to strengthen the coherence of the information presented. Attention will also be paid to the presentation of numerical data (numbers, values, their development and trends) and their graphical representation (graphs, tables, diagrams, etc.).

- Course syllabus: 1. Presentation as communication. 2. Factors influencing the success of the presentation: form, structure and content, space, time, context, audience. 3. Introduction to the presentation: strategies, techniques and language means for gaining the audience's attention. 4. Information core of the presentation: selection, sorting and form of data presentation. 5. Information core of the presentation: transition between information (transition), language means for strengthening the coherence and continuity of information, techniques for keeping the audience's attention. 6. Conclusion of the presentation: strategies, techniques and language tools for effective summary; work with questions. 7. Presenting presentations, discussions and feedback. 8. Presentatng presentations, discussions and feedback. 9. Working with numerical data: numerical data in English, practice of their presentation. 10. Working with numerical data: development and trends of values, language means for their description, practice of their presentation. 11. Graphical representation of numerical data: graphs, tables, diagrams, etc .; techniques and means for their description. 12. Presenting presentations, discussions and feedback. 13.
