The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
In this twelve-unit course the student will have an opportunity to get involved in some of the many possible internet-based approaches to CALL (Computer-assisted language learning). The key tool in this course will be a www browser - the most easily accessible piece of software around. It will take the student through a number of language-oriented exercises, from online listening comprehension to electronic error-checking through search result occurrences. This course is not an exhaustive presentation of the topic, but virtually any of the exercises contained herein can be easily modified and extended time-wise as well as content-wise to fit a particular interest of the student.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to:
- expand his/her knowledge on the topic;
- consolidate and deepen the knowledge of how computers can be useful in teaching English;
