- Course objectives
- The aim of the first semester of teaching of the Latin language is to familiarize the student with pronunciation, basic Linguistics terms there nouns and adjectives (1. and 2. declination) and the timing of the verbs I-4. conjugation in the present tense. At the same time care is taken on a systematic work with text-simple sentences with translation from Latin and into English and vice versa.
- Learning outcomes
- Based on basic knowledge of Latin grammar the student is able to translate simpler texts. He learned to work with the dictionary in connection with translation and to use the methodology of translation from Latin to Czech in practise.
