Course objectives
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with important literary currents and their representatives from the Baroque to the end of the 20th century. The course is also to acquaint students with the political and cultural context in which the literature originated, and motivate them to think about the relationship between literature (art) and the environment. The theoretical part of the course is supplemented by systematic work with literary texts, on which the context in question is clearly visible and which can become a starting point for a wider discussion.
Learning outcomes
The student is able to name and describe important literary currents in German literature from the Baroque to the end of the 20th century. The student is able to describe the political and cultural context in which literature has developed.
