Course objectives
The aim is to provide students with an overview of contemporary computer science, its history, its position in science and society, solved and still unsolved problems and estimation of future development. Today's informatics consists of a number of disciplines; We will show how the problems encountered by the development of informatics have initiated their emergence, what solutions have been reached in the field of technology, software and the theory on which informatics is based. We will not forget about new trends, such as the application and use of artificial intelligence, new technologies developing in computer science (nature-inspired computing, quantum computers, parallel architectures, cloudy, the Internet of Things, etc.). At the end of the course, students will be acquainted with valid laws in the Czech Republic in relation to information and communication technologies.
Learning outcomes
Learning outcomes of the course will be the ability of students to orientate themselves in individual fields of informatics and computer technology with a future perspective.
