Course objectives
The seminar is focused on the acquisition of basic knowledge and skills needed for research on the medieval history of Europe. Emphasis is placed on independent work in seminar classes consisting in the analysis and interpretation of sources and secondary literature related to the discussed phenomena. Thematically, the individual seminar hours will focus on the works of Czech and world authors mainly from the second half of the 20th century to the present time. The student will also gain experience with the preparation and presentation of a selected topic processed in the form of a seminar paper.
Learning outcomes
Student will gain basic information concerning discussed topics. Student will gain basic orientation in secondary literature.
