- Course objectives
- Knowledge of architectural typology and morphology is a basic prerequisite for the ability to describe architectural works competently, to understand their structure, composition and artistic design. Last but not least, it is also a prerequisite for understanding the meaning, composition and use of specific categories of buildings and architectural works such as church, monastery, synagogue, garden, park, castle, etc. The ability to name, to describe, and to understant is important in heritage preservation, art and architectural history, as well as in the architectural and urban creation and other disciplines. The aim of the course is to introduce students to the architectural morphology, explain them the basic context and practice the logical progression of description from whole to detail.

Tests are written from the material covered in the previous seminar, which are corrected and, if necessary, explained during the course. Credit is awarded on the basis of a scored written credit test. The questions for the credit test are selected from the questions practised in the examination tests during the course. To receive credit, the student must demonstrate that he or she knows more than he or she does not know, specifically, he or she must earn at least half + 1 of the possible points. Thus, for example, at least 101 points out of 200 possible points.
