The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The course focuses on current theoretical and interpretive issues in Czech and international ecocriticism. It will introduce the basic concepts and foundations of ecocritical thought, which will then be applied to selected texts from Czech and international literature for both children and adults. Emphasis will be placed on aesthetic, ethical, and ideological aspects. Attention will also be given to the phenomenon of environmental anxiety and the broader contexts of environmental issues and the climate crisis, which are also reflected in contemporary literary...
