Course objectives
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the nature and basic properties of sound and its use in sound production and post-production. After the necessary theoretical introduction and practical exercises, the student should be able to understand, without serious deficiencies, the basic parameters of sound, its behaviour in the environment and its use in sound production - Sound source - Sound propagation in the environment - Hearing and perception of sound - Parameters of a sound wave - Acoustics - AD and DA conversion - Bit depth and sample rate
