Syllabus
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the basics of feature film directing in relation to the basic knowledge of screenwriting. However, the emphasis in this course will be on the fundamentals of directing AV documentary works, including the importance of professional and artistic preparation prior to the actual filming. - The influence of each profession on the final AV work. - The work involved in the actual filming and the final form of the AV work in the editing room and sound studio. - Practical exercise - directing a documentary or part of it. - Practical exercise - directing a feature scene. Mutual cooperation of the audience with obligatory exchange of "roles" in the crew. - Film thinking as a theoretical discipline, examples from films. - Analysis of daily work and preparation of filmed material for editing. - Analyses of own AV works.
