Course objectives
This course provides an introduction to computer graphics and surface animation and demonstrates the basic rules and principles. The graphics section introduces the student to both raster and vector graphics. They will learn how to edit, make selections, crop and colour adjustments so that they are able to edit photographs, but also to create a photo montage or collage, for example. In vector graphics, they will learn the basic work with objects, geometric shapes and fonts so that they are able to create a logo or poster. These skills will be taught in standard graphics software such as Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator. In the animation section, the student will learn how to work with Adobe After Effects and Adobe Animate for 2D animation. During the year, the student will learn the basic principles of surface animation and moving objects.
