Prerequisites
(FAKULTA(FU) && TYP_STUDIA(B))
Knowledge of the basics of mathematics, mechanics and electromagnetism is a prerequisite. However, the necessary knowledge can be supplemented during the course.
Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is also offered to the students of the fields other than those the course is directly associated with.
fields of study / plans the course is directly associated with
Course objectives
The aim is to acquaint students with the ground of the physical description of light and its propagation in the material environment and to introduce some simple applications of optical phenomena in nature and technology.
Learning outcomes
The course acquaints students with the basics of the physical description of light and its propagation in the material environment and introduces some simple applications of optical phenomena in nature and technology.
Students will know the fundamentals in this branch of physics and they will be able to solve basic types of theoretical and practical problems.
