- Course objectives
- Seminars are a necessary introduction to working with the image, which is understood as a carrier of information. It stands at the borderline between a creative and a technical subject. The listener will learn about the theory of the image and its interpretation in artistic, advertising and technical fields. The course aims to uncover established practices in the creation of audiovisual works, to illuminate and put into context compositional and creative techniques. It is assumed that upon completion of the course, the graduate will be able to master the basic techniques of composition and manipulate the image and the information it contains. The student will be able to produce an audiovisual work that is free of basic compositional errors, distractions or confusing elements. The student will acquire the necessary knowledge for subsequent work with the image. Whether in photography, filmmaking or applied graphics. Content: - History of composition, image composition (content, plot, colour), - The golden section, Fibonacci sequence, - Shot sizes, aspects of shots, axis - Composing static and dynamic images, - time in photography, plot, - linking photography and introduction to editing, photo-scenery, - practical exercises, - errors in photography and video, - Interpretation of technical and informational image quality.
