Course objectives
Course Description: This course focuses on the creation of a medium-length documentary film featuring three portraits of various personalities and one collective project or event. The project is conducted in collaboration with students from different countries who will film the portraits in their home countries. The final post-production will be carried out at the Silesian University. Course Objectives: • Develop the ability to work in an international team. • Teach students to create a unified concept and design manual. • Introduce students to modern technologies and methods of remote collaboration. • Promote cultural rapprochement and international cooperation.
Learning outcomes
After the Workshop: • Teams will film the portraits of personalities in their authentic environments. • The material will be stored on a shared server and processed in a single project. • The work can be used as a practical part of a bachelor's thesis. Pedagogical Focus: • Creation in an international team. • Use of modern technologies in audiovisual creation. • Development of new forms of education and collaboration. • Development of talents and international cooperation.
Syllabus
  • Workshop Structure (5 days): 1. Introduction Day: o Lectures and project introduction. o Creation of the documentary's topic and synopsis. 2. Production Day: o Preparation for filming the collective project or event. o Lectures on creating a design manual and project content. 3. Creative Preparation: o Forming teams for live filming. o Preparing the studio or filming location. o Creating scripts for the portraits of individual personalities. 4. Filming Day: o Filming the collective project or event and evening post-production. o Afternoon filming of interviews with personalities in the studio or on location. 5. Evaluation: o Presentation and analysis of the filmed material. o Discussion on the content and form of the documentary.
