Course objectives
The course introduces students to the possibilities of creating and increasing an individual's cognitive modifiability. We will deepen our understanding of our own method, our ability to actively use MIU, and participants will become familiar with three additional instruments (Stories in Pictures, Analysis-Synthesis, Categorization). By completing this second part of the course, students will be certified to work as MIU instructors.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, students will be able to: - apply the principles of mediated learning when working with the Stories in Pictures tool,
- apply the principles of mediated learning when working with the Analysis-Synthesis tool,
- apply the principles of mediated learning when working with the Categorization tool
Syllabus
  • The subject is entirely practical in nature. Students work with instruments during individual sessions, actively participate in activities and discussions, and work with worksheets in a didactic manner.
  • 1.-2. Deepening understanding of working with the method
  • 3.-5. Working with the "Stories in Pictures" instrument
  • 6.-8. Working with the "Analysis-Synthesis" instrument
  • 9.-12. Working with the "Categorization" instrument

Teacher's information
The course will be scheduled in a weekly block from June 8 to June 12, 2025.
To obtain certification as an MIU instructor, the maximum number of absences allowed during this week is 4 teaching hours. Any additional absences must be made up at your own expense in another course (e.g., Prague, Brno).
To receive credit, you must attend at least 80% of the course.
