- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to acquaint students with basic participatory methods and techniques that are used in the field of personal development as well as within professional tasks. Students will practically try out selected methods and techniques of working with the professional and lay public, suitable for facilitating and moderating various working or expert groups. Emphasis is placed on practical use and applicability.
- Learning outcomes
- After completing the course, students are able to propose a facilitation or mediation method for a specific task/situation in their future professional environment. They will be able to prepare this method both in terms of production and organization, and at the same time they are able to take on its moderation or facilitation. Students are familiar with the advantages and disadvantages of selected methods and techniques, they are able to evaluate the applicability of the technique for the chosen goal and purpose.
- Syllabus
- 1. The teacher's introductory methodical introduction to participation methods:
- 1.1 Effectiveness of educational methods - andro-didactic principles with an emphasis on effective organization of work in groups/in plenary and creation of scenarios
- 1.2 The importance of experiential learning and game activities for adult educators; assignment of individual methods to students/groups of students
- 2. Exercise – practice of methods based on scenarios created by students:
- 2.1 didactic study – icebreaker
- 2.2 interactive interpretation
- 2.3 discussion methods – discussions in plenary, in groups, panel discussions
- 2.4 brainstorming
- 2.5 brainwriting
- 2.6 case method
- 2.7 Role-play methods in participatory and experiential learning
- 2.8 EDULARP
- 2.9 staging method (with video recording - in relation to point 2.11 below)
- 2.10 DELFI method
- 2.11 application of the video-set in participatory methods - in relation to educational technologies and ICT literacy
