Course objectives
Objectives: The aim of the course is to familiarize students with occupational therapy terminology and its use in the practice of a special education teacher.
Learning outcomes
Learning outcomes: Professional knowledge: - the student can define the terms of zergotherapy Professional skills: - the student can use professional terminology General competencies: - the student is able to navigate professional terminology and use the acquired knowledge in practice

Contents: 1. Occupational therapy – basic definitions and concepts Foundations of contemporary occupational therapy practice Occupational therapy and its use in the practice of a special educator Evaluation in occupational therapy Selected occupational therapy procedures in children 2. Occupational therapy for seniors Occupational therapy for people with musculoskeletal disorders Testing in occupational therapy – types of grips The importance of ADL (Activities of Daily Living) Practice of wheelchair driving in the interior and exterior Basics of art techniques Compensatory aids in occupational therapy
