Course objectives
The subject focuses on consolidating acquired skills and deepening knowledge acquired in the subject Holistic Music Therapy I. The subject is conducted in an experiential form, theory is intertwined with the practical part. The theoretical content deals with the position of music therapy in the areas of pedagogy, special pedagogy, psychotherapy and comprehensive rehabilitation. It specifies in more detail the relationship between music therapy and psychotherapy, current music therapy directions known and used in our country. It presents the possibilities of using music therapy in education, both for children, pupils and students with special educational needs, and for intact individuals. The practical part focuses on the own experience of vibrations, preparation for music therapy activity for a specific target group, written processing of the preparation of an educational block using musical instruments and their subsequent implementation
Learning outcomes
Learning outcomes: Professional knowledge: - the student is familiar with current music therapy trends - the student is able to specify the characteristics of music therapy approaches - the student is aware of the possibilities of using music therapy activities in the education and training of children, pupils and students - the student is able to describe the personality requirements for the work of a music therapist - the student is able to specify which areas of an individual's personality are influenced by playing untempered instruments and listening to them - the student knows the structure of a music therapy block Professional skills: - the student is able to play percussion instruments, bowls, slot drums, basics of the djembe - the student is able to create rhythms, interconnect them with percussion instruments - the student is able to prepare a room, suitable instruments for a specific group - the student is able to actively and purposefully use the tools, principles and elements of active and receptive forms of music therapy General competencies: - the student can assess the use of musical instruments and forms of music therapy according to the individual needs of the individual in a specific situation - the student is able to work out the structure of the methodology of a music therapy block according to the intention and subsequently implement it - the student is able to prepare and lead a drum circle and a music therapy orchestra - the student is able to improvise within the framework of joint playing
Syllabus
Content: 1. Connecting music therapy and psychotherapy – psychotherapeutic directions and their influence on the development of music therapy 2. Current music therapy directions and perspectives in the Czech Republic 3. Levels of the personal concept of music therapy 4. Use of music therapy in practice – individuals with special educational needs and intact individuals 5. Personality of the music therapist 6. Influence of vibrations on the human organism, techniques of playing Tibetan bowls 7. Music therapy improvisation, musical associations 8. Preparation of the room and instruments for an active and receptive form 9. Structure of a music therapy meeting – phases of the music therapy block – hours 10. Preparation of a music therapy block for a specific target group 11. Own experience, perception of rhythm, vibrations in a specific target group, influence on cognitive functions, psychological and motor areas 12. Self-reflection, sharing
